Creating Your Power Circle

The process is a great way to change your state.  This process will allow you to always know you are in control and can access a powerful state when you choose. You are no longer at the effect of what’s going on around you.

Use this before going into an important meeting, before an important phone call, before a presentation, preparing for an important personal event.  
Decide how you want to feel, as an example, to feel confident or motivated or to tap into your personal power.  Imagine a circle on the floor in front of you. Give it a colour. Standing outside the circle, think about a time in your past, a specific time, when you felt totally confident. It can be in any context, perhaps in sports or during a sale. As you think about that time, think about it as if you’re experiencing the feeling now. Let the feeling of confidence flow through your body. Feel it building stronger and stronger. When you feel it intensely throughout your body, step into your circle and bring the confidence into the circle with you. Stand there for a moment then back out of the circle leaving the confidence in the circle. Repeat the process 3 or 4 times. This is now your power circle. Think of an event in the future, and as you think about it step into your power circle and feel the feeling of confidence as you think about the event. You’ve now linked the feeling of confidence with the event.

You can also imagine the circle on the floor under your chair, and as you sit down notice that feeling of confidence flow through you.

This is also a great way to motivate yourself and to stay motivated throughout the day.  
Combine this process with successfully setting outcomes and you have a very powerful strategy for creating excellence in your day.
